Glycerin (Glycerol)

Three active hydroxyl groups make it a classic trifunctional initiator for polyether polyols. It opens rings with propylene oxide and ethylene oxide to produce flexible foam polyethers. Under esterification reaction with dicarboxylic acids such as adipic acid, it generates polyester resins and plasticizers. Stable under normal temperature; no self-polymerization. It will decompose at temperatures above 290℃. Excellent moisturizing and plasticizing performance, widely used as humectant in daily chemicals. Non-toxic, mild to human skin at normal concentration.
